Kevin Tyler

As Chief Financial Officer and Chief Investment Officer, Kevin Tyler plays a central role in driving Oakmont’s corporate and financial strategy, market expansion, and investment partnerships. Collaborating closely with the executive team, he ensures Oakmont’s sustained financial strength while advancing its long-term strategic priorities.

Since joining Oakmont in 2020, Kevin has led and reshaped the company’s finance and accounting functions, strengthening its longstanding record of exceptional performance. He plays a key role in advancing external growth through community acquisitions and is a co-founder of O&I Development, Oakmont’s property development affiliate. His leadership is built on a strong foundation of financial, investment, and strategic planning experience across the senior housing, healthcare, and real estate sectors.

Prior to Oakmont, Kevin held a leadership role at Welltower, where he shaped key senior living relationships and growth strategies across the Western United States. He accelerated Welltower’s partnership with Oakmont and managed the acquisition of multiple Oakmont communities. Earlier in his career, Kevin headed the healthcare real estate team at Green Street Advisors and spent a decade in investment banking.

Kevin sits on the Executive Board of the American Seniors Housing Association (ASHA) and is actively engaged with the National Investment Center for Seniors Housing & Care (NIC) and the California Assisted Living Association (CALA). He holds an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management and a BS in Finance from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business.

Outside of work, Kevin values time with his family, whether traveling together or supporting his three children on the sports field.
